That's me in the yellow suit. I became a UIAGM
mountain guide in 1996 after a career as an architect in London. I relocated to Chamonix, France and became a member of the SNGM
(National Syndicate of French Mountain Guides) in
2003.
In the years as an amateur and later as a professional, I clocked up a large amount of expedition time in the Karakoram
and Himalaya, and recently calculated that I have now spent five years of my life under canvas. Some of these adventure have appeared in print. When not working or writing, I spend my time cooking for friends and family, and clambering on steep little bits of rock. The books are now available in Kndle, with other formats to follow;
